TUCSON, Ariz. — A new year and a young, revamped squad, yet it was more of the same for the Canadian national team. Denmark steamrolled Canada 4-0 on Saturday in a friendly at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium.
FC Copenhagen striker Andreas Cornelius had a hat trick and FC Nordsjælland’s Kasper Lorentzen added a goal for good measure as a mostly Denmark-based squad had its way with a Canadian team that featured four MLSers aged 22 or younger in the starting lineup.
